Just picked it up and drove it for 30 minutes it threw up a turtle error and jerked forward a few times Almost hit a pedestrian and a car in front of me. I parked it and getting it towed. While traveling on the interstate at approximately 70 mph, I pressed the accelerator pedal to increase speed. Instead of accelerating, the vehicle suddenly jerked, and the wheels locked up as though the brakes engaged on their own. I continued pressing the accelerator, but the vehicle rapidly decelerated without responding to throttle input. The most concerning part was that the brake lights did not illuminate while the vehicle slowed down, which created an extreme safety hazard because drivers behind me had no warning that I was slowing. While driving our 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S EV, the electronic parking brake engages without driver input while the vehicle is in motion. The vehicle suddenly decelerates as if the parking brake has been applied. This occurs without any action from the driver and cannot be manually released. This is extremely dangerous because the parking brake is designed to be used when the vehicle is stationary. When it activates unexpectedly during normal driving it can cause sudden braking that could lead to a rear-end collision or loss of vehicle control.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

No selected model years have a complete observation window. Choose an eligible year or a shorter window.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.

I recently purchased this vehicle and had possession of it for only three days before it developed a serious braking-related issue. While driving, the ABS warning light illuminated, indicating that the anti-lock braking system required service. At the same time, the vehicle became noticeably more difficult to stop, requiring increased braking distance and significantly earlier brake application than normal. The failed component is currently at the dealership and is available for inspection. The illuminated ABS warning also disabled several adva…
