Owner report 11756857 · 2026-08-13 (August 13, 2026)
I was driving my 2025 Mercedes EQB home after work August 11, 2026 and reached the end of my cul de sac, slowly turning left into my carport. As the front tires reached the sidewalk the car suddenly accelerated at extremely shocking high speed heading straight towards another car parked in there and the front wall. I slammed on the brakes and was fortunately able to stop the car right before it hit the wall and the other car. It was terrifying. Luckily I did not hit my dog who was outside at the time. There are tire skid marks on the carpo…

I brought this to the dealership, they acknowledged the problem, but told me they couldn't help because they didn't have another EQB to compare it to. They told me to contact Mercedes customer service. I contacted them by email, and I was repeatedly told (incorrectly) that my vehicle does not have an external speaker. They eventually ignored me. | Fuel/Propulsion System | 330.0%ODI 11726005Mercedes previously issued a software update for the battery fire risk, but we have received a letter more than a year later stating that this fix was not adequate. We pursued a vehicle buyback due to the safety risk this presents to my family, and Mercedes vehemently stated that the issue was resolved and the vehicle did not qualify. The vehicle is an inherent risk to my family's safety if it may just catch fire at any time. | 916.7%ODI 11689827Mercedes performed a recall and stated the charging would increase only by 10-15 minutes. For my vehicle it is now exceeding 30-45 minutes to get to the same state of charge at a fast charger such as electrify America. Mercedes refuses to do anything about this, instead they want me to drive around with a defective battery which still has a potential to catch on fire. | 116.7%ODI 11727121My vehicle is not included in the current high voltage battery recall under NHTSA recall 26V073, as it has a manufacture date of 08/2024 per door jamb sticker, however, page 5 of the NHTSA report explicitly states “A change in the production procedure of our supplier ensures that this issue can no longer occur on vehicles produced from July 31, 2024 onwards.” This leaves car production between May and July 31 (and likely beyond!) unaccounted for in the recall. The light is blinding and impacts the ability of the driver to see the road and respond appropriately. I notified the dealership and Mercedes customer service, and they said there was nothing that they could do and that this was a buyer beware type situation. | 233.3%ODI 11641571For two months my EQB has been signaling high voltage when I charge it also now I’m having a problem connecting the plug to charge my car it shows red light has faulty it’s at the shop for a week now and I haven’t gotten updates about my car the cameras as well are turning black not working. | 150.0%ODI 11756857I was driving my 2025 Mercedes EQB home after work August 11, 2026 and reached the end of my cul de sac, slowly turning left into my carport. Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
