5 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

24V331000 · Electrical System:Propulsion System | Power Train

Reported: 2024-05-10 (May 10, 2024) · Model years: 2022

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2022 EQB 300 and EQB 350 vehicles. The welded spur gear within the front axle electric drivetrain may not have been welded properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 114, "Theft Protection."

Consequence: An improperly welded spur gear can fail and result in a vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the front axle electric drivetrain, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 9, 2024. Owners may contact MBUSA at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2024060007.

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2022-2025 EQB 250, EQB 300 4MATIC, and EQB 350 4MATIC electric vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.

Consequence: A vehicle fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Owners are advised to only charge their vehicles to a maximum of 80% battery capacity until the repair has been completed. Dealers will update the battery management system software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 22, 2025. This is a phased recall. Reported: 2025-07-25 (July 25, 2025) · Model years: 2022, 2023

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2022-2023 EQB 350 4MATIC, and EQB 300 4MATIC vehicles. The bus bar in the high voltage battery may be secured with incorrect screws, which can cause the system to have a sudden loss of drive power without warning.

Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will inspect and replace the high-voltage battery as necessary, free of charge. This will be a phased campaign, with the remedy becoming available in different phases based on model and model years. Owner notification letters were mailed January 9, 2026. The EQB is advertised by Mercedes of having a range of 232 to 260 miles. The actual range currently is 145 miles, far less than what Mercedes advertises. I understand winter charging decrease range but not by 38 percent. That’s not acceptable. There are 4 EV’s at my dealer today all complaining about lack of advertised range. My car has been into service three times over the last month and will be going back in soon forms fourth time. The first two times, the dealer updated EV software, resolved a battery fault and the range only gets wor…

Since I purchased this electric vehicle, phone conversations that I place through the car have been broadcast on the external speaker. I brought this to the dealership, they acknowledged the problem, but told me they couldn't help because they didn't have another EQB to compare it to. They told me to contact Mercedes customer service. I contacted them by email, and I was repeatedly told (incorrectly) that my vehicle does not have an external speaker. They eventually ignored me. This is both a safety issue and a privacy issue. Broadcasting my p…

Mercedes previously issued a software update for the battery fire risk, but we have received a letter more than a year later stating that this fix was not adequate. We pursued a vehicle buyback due to the safety risk this presents to my family, and Mercedes vehemently stated that the issue was resolved and the vehicle did not qualify. The vehicle is an inherent risk to my family's safety if it may just catch fire at any time.

Mercedes performed a recall and stated the charging would increase only by 10-15 minutes. For my vehicle it is now exceeding 30-45 minutes to get to the same state of charge at a fast charger such as electrify America. Mercedes refuses to do anything about this, instead they want me to drive around with a defective battery which still has a potential to catch on fire.

My vehicle is not included in the current high voltage battery recall under NHTSA recall 26V073, as it has a manufacture date of 08/2024 per door jamb sticker, however, page 5 of the NHTSA report explicitly states “A change in the production procedure of our supplier ensures that this issue can no longer occur on vehicles produced from July 31, 2024 onwards.” This leaves car production between May and July 31 (and likely beyond!) unaccounted for in the recall. My car was built in August 2024, likely with a battery manufactured prior to July 3…

There is a reflective chrome accent on the dashboard of the EQB 300 that reflects sunlight directly into the drivers eyes when the car is oriented in certain directions at certain times of day. The light is blinding and impacts the ability of the driver to see the road and respond appropriately. I notified the dealership and Mercedes customer service, and they said there was nothing that they could do and that this was a buyer beware type situation.

The rear windshield shattered spontaneously without any external impact while the vehicle was parked. Mercedes-Benz USA advised bringing the vehicle to the dealership for evaluation of a possible manufacturing defect, but the dealer replaced the glass and charged for repair. This raises a concern for potential safety defect or glass stress failure in EQB models.

On October 8, 2025 the sunroof exploded from within while driving. There was no external force involved. It sounded like a gunshot going off in the car. My wife and I looked at each other expecting to see blood, but fortunately, there was none. We were both quite shook up. Upon inspection the remaining shards of glass were pointed upward, although that is difficult to see from the pictures. Fortunately, the shade was closed so the glass shards did not fall on me or my wife. No other debris besides broken glass was found on the shade.

I’m very concerned if my car is mistakenly not included - what if it has battery issue/fire risk but I am not aware? This poses huge safety risk on day to day driving.
