The contact owns a 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 4Matic. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V073000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was contacted. I am reporting a serious safety hazard involving my Mercedes‑Benz EQB 350. Drive only 1.5 year, Jan 6, 2026, the vehicle suffered an electronic failure at LaGuardia Airport and became completely inoperable. It could not shift into Drive, Reverse, or Neutral and had to be towed to Mercedes‑Benz of Huntington for warranty repair. During service, the dealer performed a wheel alignment on Jan 16, 2026 without my authorization. I had previously declined alignment recommendations because my factory alignment was excellent and my tires were wearing e…

The car would not start. When I tried to start the car, it said that the charging cable was engaged. The charging cable was not in fact engaged. Even the phone app for the car indicates that the cable is not engaged. There is no way to reset the vehicle or to turn it off and back on. The identical issue occurred in January. We had it towed to the dealer on the weekend. When we returned to get personal items out of the vehicle (1-2 days later, but before the dealer had worked on it) the vehicle started fine and I drove it home. The problem has…
Dear Sir or Madam, Good day. I purchased a New 2023 Mercedes EQB [XXX] from a Dealership in Florida less than 2 years ago. This VIN is associated with NHTSA Recall 2025020001 25V050 Electrical System Battery Fire Risk dated February 3rd 2025. This recall is due to multiple cars spontaneously catching on fire. No cause has been identified or ruled out. Vehicle was previously serviced multiple times for Charging related issues. I spoke to the Dealership about this recall informally. They recommended against charging the car indoors. The…

This safety recall is over six months old and is still unresolved. I have not felt safe driving the vehicle on the highway because of the possibility of complete power loss. I have been forced to keep paying lease payments on a car I can't drive and the manufacturer has been unresponsive. When I plug the car in to charge, all the lights in the house dim. My other EV does not do this so it must be a serious problem with this vehicle.
My vehicle will not hold a charge. Since buying this car. I have been doing a lot of charging instead of driving. With normal charging, it takes approximately the whole day (24 hours) to have the vehicle charge over 80% and after that, the charge will not hold for a long time. This happens every time.
I am reporting a substantial safety defect regarding the high-voltage battery system in my 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB 350. The vehicle suffers from a 50% loss of advertised range (real-world range of ~95 miles vs. 210 miles advertised) and severe DC fast-charging failures. My VIN is subject to NHTSA Recalls 25V050000 and 25V894 for high-voltage battery fire risk. Per the manufacturer's safety instructions, I have been told not to charge the vehicle above 80%, which further degrades the vehicle’s utility. Additionally, the vehicle is subject to Rec…
My 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 4MATIC (VIN [XXX]) is subject to NHTSA Recall 26V073 / MBUSA campaign 2026020004 for a high-voltage battery defect that may cause a thermal event/fire while parked or driving. Mercedes-Benz has determined that the permanent remedy requires replacement of the high-voltage battery, but MBUSA has confirmed that a replacement battery is not currently available for my VIN and has provided no firm repair date. Pending repair, Mercedes instructs owners to limit charging to 80% and park outside rather than in a garage or …
My vehicle battery overheated. The dealership was unable to identify the cause. I have since learned there is a battery recall on this make and model, and I believe the recall needs to be expanded to include my vehicle and the overheating was likely caused by the battery failing.

“My 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 is subject to NHTSA recall 26V073 involving a high-voltage battery defect that may cause a fire. The manufacturer has instructed me to limit charging to 80% and to park the vehicle outside due to fire risk. This significantly reduces the vehicle’s usable range and creates safety concerns. Due to this 80% charging limitation, the vehicle no longer provides sufficient range for my daily commute and cannot be reliably used for its intended purpose. My 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB has an unresolved recall (25V487000) issued July 25, 2025 , nearly 10 months ago , with status still listed as remedy not yet available. The recall is classified as URGENT: FIRE RISK WHEN PARKED on NHTSA's website for my specific vehicle. On May 6-7, 2026 I contacted Mercedes customer service three times and received conflicting safety guidance. Agent 1 told me charging above 80% was acceptable and did not advise outdoor parking. Agent 2 (appointed by a manager) told me to restrict charging and park outside immediately…

The manufacturer has stated that the permanent remedy (battery replac…

The vehicle is subject to Safety Recall 26V073 (High-Voltage Battery Fire Risk). Since March 2023, at 6,177 miles, the vehicle has experienced recurring powertrain and battery malfunctions. Despite 11 total service visits and 8 specific attempts to repair the battery management system and powertrain modules, the defect remains unresolved. The vehicle currently displays sudden red dashboard warnings stating "Engine will not restart" and "Malfunction" while driving at highway speeds and on sideroads. These incidents cause a sudden loss of confide…
