ON 10/25/2010 A 2006 SUZUKI GSX1300 MOTORCYCLE WAS TOWED TO OUR SHOP. THE CUSTOMER'S COMPLAINT WAS THAT THE MOTORCYCLE'S ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING WHILE HE WAS RIDDING DOWN THE FREEWAY WHICH HE FELT ENDANGERED HIS LIFE. IF THIS BRACKET BREAKS ALLOWING THE BANK ANGLE SENSOR TO FALL, THE MOTOR WILL SHUT OFF POSSIBLY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CRASH WHICH COULD RESULT I…

WHEN RIDING AT A STABLE SPEED, MOTORCYCLE WILL LOSE POWER AND SPEED WITH NO CHANGE IN THROTTLE POSITION. THIS OCCURS IN 3RD THROUGH 6TH GEAR, 6500-7500 RPMS, IN SPEEDS RANGING FROM 30-75 MPH. THIS PROBLEM RESULTS IN A DECREASE IN SPEED FROM 3-6 MPH BEFORE BIKE RECOVERS. UPON RECOVERY, BIKE WILL JERK FORWARD, CAUSING A VERY UNSAFE INCREASE IN SPEED. WHEN THIS HAPPENS WHILE TURNING OR TRYING TO TAKE EVASIVE MEASURES, IT AMOUNTS TO A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. THIS OCCURS ON THE 2008 SUZUKI GSXR-600. *TR

ENGINE PROBLEM...CAM TENSIONER BROKE AND NOW HAS DAMAGED THE ENGINE/STARTER/ETC... THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH SUZUKI HAYABUSA'S. THERE WAS A RECALL I BELIEVE FOR THE 2001 MODEL...MAYBE OTHER YEARS. MINE IS A 2005. I MAY HAVE BEEN DUPED BY THE DEALER. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT THE BIKE THEY SOLD ME WAS MUCH OLDER THAN 2005 AND POSSIBLY WRECKED AND FIXED BY THE DEALER AND THEN RE-SOLD TO ME WITH A NEWER MODEL FRAME SO AS TO HIDE THE FACT THAT IT WAS WRECKED AND AN OLDER MODEL. THE ENGINE PROBLEMS THAT I DESCRIBED WERE COMMON ON THE OLDER MODELS...NO…

THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN LABELED THE HERKY JERKIES. WHILE RIDING AT ANY RPM WHEN THE REAR WHEEL SPEED MATCHES ENGINE SPEED THE THROTTLE SHUTS OFF ABRUPTLY WITH NO WARNING, THROWING YOU FORWARD OVERLOADING THE FRONT WHEEL. WHEN THE WHEEL SLOWS ENOUGH THAT THE ECU CALLS FOR FUEL IT DELIVERS A LARGE AMOUNT OF FUEL AND THE BIKE JERKS FORWARD UNLOADING THE FRONT WHEEL CAUSING AN UNRECOVERABLE FRONT WHEEL SLIDE (WHILE LEANED OVER IN A TURN). THERE IS A LARGE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE INCLUDING MYSELF WORKING ON THE PROBLEM, WE HAVE DISCOVERED WAYS TO MASK THE PRO…

THIS OCCURS ON THE SUZUKI GSXR-600, NOT THE GSXR-1300R BUT THERE IS NO WHERE TO DES…

THE FUEL SCREENS IN THE '99 MODEL YEAR FUEL PUMP CLOG UP COMPLETELY CAUSING THE MOTORCYCLE TO STALL. THE SCREEN ON MY BIKE WAS REMOVED BY MY LOCAL DEALER AT MY INSISTANCE AND COST AND WAS COMPLETELY BLOCKED BY A COPPER COLORED RESIDUE. I HAD BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE STALLING FOR THREE YEARS WITHOUT ANY RESOLUTION BEFORE I DEMANDED THAT THE SCREEN BE REPLACED. THIS ISSUE IS INCORRECTLY ADDRESSED BY A VOLUNTARY RECALL BY SUZUKI. THE VOLUNTARY RECALL REPLACES THE SCREENS INSIDE THE FUEL INJECTORS AND THE SCREEN INSIDE THE TANK BUT NOT THE SCR…

The contact owns a 2023 Suzuki GSX1300R. The contact stated that while his wife was riding at an undisclosed speed, the motorcycle inadvertently lost motive power. The driver was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway, where the motorcycle failed to restart. The oil warning light was illuminated. The motorcycle was towed to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure, surmising that the fuel that the contact was using had insufficient octane levels, resulting in combustion issues. The contact was advised to use a higher-octane…

THE RECTIFIER/STATOR DOES NOT MAINTAIN A CHARGE ON THE BATTERY. THE BIKE HAS GONE DEAD WHILE RIDING IN TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY. AFTER 20 MINUTES THE BIKE STARTED BY ROLLING DOWN HILL. WHILE STATIONARY, A NEW BATTERY WAS PUT IN BUT IT WOULD NOT START THE MOTORCYCLE AND PULLS THE COLD CRANKING AMPS DOWN TO 65 CC AMPS FROM 214 CC AMPS. THE MOTORCYCLE ON HAS 2744 MILES AND IS USED FOR CASUAL RIDING ONLY.
