In November 2022 we discovered that both brackets holding the front nose piece to the frame had broken away. Then we discovered the wall on the front passenger side of the Motorhome had pulled away from the floor and left an inch gap between the floor and the wall. While traveling on I 87 in New York, the factory-installed receiver hitch broke off allowing my vehicle being towed to separate from my RV causing extensive damage to my 2019 GMC Acadia. This could have been catastrophic if the car had hit other vehicles on this heavily traveled road. There was no visible sign of cracking or metal fatigue prior to the separation. This is not the first time that a tow hitch has separated from a Thor RV.

DEALER WOULD ONLY REPLACE ENTIRE WIPER ASSEMBLY FOR $500+. THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE INDIVIDUAL PARTS OR SELL ME INDIVIDUAL PARTS. THERE WAS A BROKEN PART CALLED A CRANK ARM. I HAD THE BROKEN PART WELDED AND REASSEMBLED THE SYSTEM. THE WIPER TIMING STILL DOES NOT WORK RIGHT IN HEAVY RAIN AND WIND. THE RECALL IS WORTHLESS.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
