Recall history

4 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

22V150000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Foundation Components:Master Cylinder | Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Power Assist

Reported: 2022-03-11 (March 11, 2022)

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, and 2016-2018 F-150 vehicles equipped with 3.5L Ecoboost engines. The brake master cylinder may allow brake fluid to leak from the front wheel circuit into the brake booster.

Consequence: A loss of brake fluid may result in a change in brake pedal travel, increased pedal effort and reduced front brake function, requiring greater effort and distance to stop the vehicle. These conditions can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the brake master cylinder. If the master cylinder is leaking, the brake booster will also be replaced. Repairs will be performed free of charge. An interim owner notification letter notifying customers of the safety defect were mailed on April 29, 2022. Owner notification letters were mailed April 29, 2022. This recall is an expansion of NHTSA recall number 20V-332. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S11.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles. The front blower motor located behind the glove box may fail.

Consequence: Front blower motor failure can increase the risk of a vehicle interior fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the front blower motor assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 4, 2023. Remedy parts are expected to become available in the second quarter of 2023. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S56.

Reported: 2025-04-11 (April 11, 2025)

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2018 F-150, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator vehicles. The brake master cylinder may allow brake fluid to leak from the front wheel circuit into the brake booster.

Consequence: A brake fluid leak can cause reduced brake function and extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the brake master cylinder. If the master cylinder is leaking, the brake booster will also be replaced. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 25, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S37. 25V572000 · Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera

Reported: 2025-09-03 (September 3, 2025)

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC, Mustang, F-350 SD, F-250 SD, F-450 SD, 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, 2015-2018 Edge, Transit Connect, 2016-2019 F-550 SD, Transit, 2017-2019 Econoline, and 2019 Ranger vehicles. The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted, or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse.

Consequence: A rearview camera that displays an inverted, distorted, or blank image can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 13, 2026. Ford owners will receive letters in phases, beginning January 2026 and June 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S89. While accelerating on a busy tollway, the automatic transmission got stuck in 6th gear. The car then began to slow down, and the gear display went blank. It was too loud to hear anything else over it and it was so jarring. I now have a headache and i’m nervous to drive it for fear of it happening again. The vehicle vibrates substantially at 60-80 mph. Vibrates at lower speeds as well but not as bad. Dealer has had the car for over 40 days. All new expeditions and Lincoln navigators have it as I have driven over 15 now. Vibration is clearly noticeable. Many sales people comment say it’s tires. The dealer shop foreman all acknowledge it. They have balanced tires and driveshaft- charged me for all of it. We have a small business and drive across country a lot. This makes the vehicle useless for that purpose. This was noticed within one mil…

While driving down the road, the sunroof spontaneously exploded. The loud bang (sounded like a gun shot) and tiny pieces of glass, that luckily were caught in the sunshade, could have been disastrous for my wife and our three small children that were in the car. The glass is bowed outwards. It has been taken back to Mullinax Ford Dealership for repair. They tell me it will not be covered under any warranty. There were no warning signs before now that there could be a problem with this sunroof, we only have 5k miles on the vehicle.

The rear-view camera on my 2017 Ford Expedition is malfunctioning. When I shift into reverse, the rear-view image appears, but once I finish reversing and shift into Drive, the image does not go away. The reverse camera feed remains frozen on the screen, even while driving forward. To clear it, I have to manually put the vehicle into Park and then back into Drive. This has to be done nearly every time I reverse, which is a distraction and a potential safety risk while operating the vehicle. I’ve read that Ford recently issued a recall involvi…
