25V773000 · Seat Belts:Front:Anchorage

Reported: 2025-11-10 (November 10, 2025)

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2024-2025 LFS transit buses. The driver's seat belt may be pinched by the partition, preventing seat belt from retract properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."

Consequence: A loose seat belt may not adequately restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Nova Bus will adjust the seat base plate, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 12, 2025. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is CR5818. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 9, 2026.

25V822000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Cooling System:Pump

Reported: 2025-11-28 (November 28, 2025)

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2021 and 2024-2025 LFS transit buses. The impeller shaft may be loose, causing the cooling pump to fail.

Consequence: A cooling pump failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Nova Bus will inspect and replace the pump as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 3, 2026.Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is CR5803. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 27, 2026.

26V206000 · Visibility:Glass, Side/Rear:Critical Fasteners

Reported: 2026-03-31 (March 31, 2026)

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2025 LFS and 2024 LFS Artic transit buses. Inadequate adhesion around the window frame may cause the glass to detach. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."

Consequence: The glass can fall out of the frame, increasing the risk of ejection and injury during a crash. Detached window glass can also become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Nova Bus will inspect and replace the glass as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed May 29, 2026. Owners will receive another notice once remedy becomes available. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is CR5877. 26V275000 · Electrical System:Propulsion System:Hybrid Management:Power Control Unit/Module (Hpcu)

Reported: 2026-04-30 (April 30, 2026)

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2022-2025 LFS transit buses. The telemetry control unit installed in parallel with the vehicle monitoring system may cause a data overload.

Consequence: An overloaded control unit may shutdown, causing a loss of drive power and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Nova Bus will modify the connection configuration and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 29, 2026. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is CR5882. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning June 29, 2026.

26V604000 · Parking Brake:Conventional:Air

Reported: 2026-09-22 (September 22, 2026)

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2024-2025 LFS transit buses. The emergency brake valve may have been improperly tightened. A loose connection may cause an air leak and the unintentional activation of the parking brake.

Consequence: The bus may suddenly slow or stop without the brake lights turning on, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Nova Bus will inspect and properly tighten the air line connections as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 21, 2026. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova Bus's number for this recall is CR5494.

ODI 11691132

NOVA BUS's in this model year and build series LF26 Unit numbers 2301-2309 have expierienced a high failure rat of the steering gear box. These units are exibiting play in the sector shaft at an ealry age and the play is causing fluid leaks of the steering hydryaulic oil that poses a severe safety risk to the operator, passengers, and the public in and around the vehicles while being driven. We have been replacing the steering boxes as the failure is noted. Parts availability from NOVA has been poor. This bus had the box replaced on 9/2/20…
