I HAD TO MANUALLY TURN OFF THE FORWARD COLLISION ACTIVE BREAKING JUST BECAUSE IT WAS SO SENSITIVE I WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE AT ANY SPEED INSIDE OF A PARKING GARAGE (PARTICULARLY WHEN APPROACHING A CORNER TO MOVE UP IN LEVELS) WITHOUT THE ACTIVE BRAKING OCCURRING. Recall history

10 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

20V043000 · Power Train:Automatic Transmission

Reported: 2020-01-24 (January 24, 2020)

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Ram 2500 and 3500 Pickup vehicles equipped with six-speed automatic (68RFE) transmissions. A build up of pressure and heat inside the transmission may result in a transmission fluid leak from the dipstick tube.

Consequence: The leaking transmission fluid may contact the turbocharger or another ignition source within the engine compartment, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the transmission valve body separator plate and reprogram the powertrain control module. The recall began March 2, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is W03.

Reported: 2020-09-10 (September 10, 2020)

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2020 Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Cherokee, 2019-2020 Ram 1500 Pickup, Ram 2500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Pickup, Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, and Jeep Renegade and 2019 Dodge Challenger vehicles equipped with 8.4" or 12" radio displays. A software error can cause the rearview camera image to remain displayed after the vehicle has been shifted out of reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rearview Mirrors."

Consequence: The lingering rearview image can distract the driver, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will update the radio display software, free of charge. Optionally, owners can choose to remotely update their software via an Over-The-Air (OTA) update available as of May 1, 2020. The recall began April 27, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is W30-W37.

The brakes are very inconsistent with a spongy pedal. When a vehicle in front of me caused an emergency stop, the pedal continued to travel almost to the floor and never felt firm. However, if the adaptive cruise control starts to brake first and the brake pedal gets depressed by the driver after that, it feels firm. These brakes are very unsafe on a truck rated to tow as much as these are.

After shifting into reverse the infotainment screen sets brightness to full which at night is blinding and causes eyesight visibility to be extremely low when looking at other views to back up like the mirrors or outside the window. This increases the risk of hitting something or someone when in reverse. Instead, the infotainment screen brightness should not change. Specifically during night time.

THIS IS REGARDING THE 6.7L CUMMINS ENGINE. THROTTLE LAG FROM A DEAD STOP SUCH AS MERGING INTO TRAFFIC OR CROSSING A ROAD IS DANGEROUS. THIS LAG COULD VERY WELL CAUSE ME TO GET REAR ENDED OR BROAD SIDED. THERE IS ALSO VERY SIGNIFICANT LAG AFTER THE GAS PEDAL HAS BEEN RELEASED AND THEN PRESSED ONCE AGAIN. AN EXAMPLE IS WHEN SLOWING DOWN WHEN APPROACHING A SLOWER CAR AND THEN CHANGING LANES AND PRESSING AND ACCELERATING TO GO AROUND THE VEHICLE. *JS

I was driving my truck on 10/26 approximately 9 am when the engine made a loud knocking noise and then proceed to make a erratic clanking noise. The truck proceeded to completely shut off while driving, rendering me unable to control the vehicle as all systems shut down. There were no warning lights present or any other warning signs. It coasted to a stop on the side of the road. The safety of myself and anyone around me was at high risk as I had no ability to control the vehicle. The vehicle only has 12,000 miles on it so I had it towed …

THE PUMP DESTROYS ITSELF AND TAKES OUT THE REST OF THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM LEADING TO REPAIRS IN THE $20,000 USD RANGE. Too much travel in brake pedal. Feels spongy. Weak brakes, hard to stop vehicle. Have to put pedal to the floor. Was told this was OK and normal at the dealership. Has been like this since I bought the vehicle new.

I was pulling a 10k lb trailer from California to Arkansas. While passing a semi truck my vehicle lost engine power and left me without power steering or brakes. I was luckily able to make it to the right shoulder, vehicle would not start. Dealership found the Bosch CP4 injection pump to have failed at 15,000 miles. I am lucky to have been traveling in an area of Texas where I did not have too much traffic or this even could have been much worse.

On 1/21/2022 I was driving from Grand Junction CO, to my home in Broomfield CO. Halfway through the 250 mile trip, I received a warning 'Low DEF'. I looked at my DEF tank gauge as soon as I got the message - it read 1/4 tank. A couple minutes pass and another message displays - Service Diesel Exhaust System - See Dealer and my truck immediately loses power and dies when i'm in the fast lane - Eastbound I-70 to Denver. I pulled into the slow lane and finally off the side of the interstate. I did not go into limp mode, never received the cou…

My name is [XXX]. I have a 2020 Ram Laramie. I purchased the truck June 2nd 2022. So then, my truck did not come with a fitting spare tire. Currently I have 40/13.5r17 on the vehicle. That the manufacturer placed with this truck when I purchased it. The spare that came with the truck, is a 18 inch spare. That doesn’t fit my truck. Also it’s a major safety hazard. My left front tire split on the side so I went to use my spare and it was a wrong tire. Also, I purchase the vehicle with only 17000 miles on it, and No personal owners. Only dealershi…

2nd visit to dodge dealership, While towing a trailer with the trailer electrical plug in use, the trailer breaks keep going out, I am driving down the road and the dash warning comes on saying the trailer breaks are disconnected. When trying to stop, at first I will not have trailer breaks, so I have to bare down on the truck brakes to stop the trailer, then the trailer brakes start working and jerks the truck back. Also, when not towing a trailer the dash warning comes on saying incompatible trailer?? No trailer is plugged in. At the dea…

Vehicle randomly shuts off during normal operation. Same as if the Start / Stop button were activated. Vehicle coasts until it self applies the emergency brake at about 3mph causing a sudden, jerky complete stop. Switches itself to Park. Dash indicates “sterp on brake to restart”. Vehicle restarts normally but may randomly shut down again. Safety risk is loss of steering, loss of power brake control, and total loss of power in traffic. Taking it to dealer today. Vehicle has not been inspected by anyone yet. No messages or warning lights display…
