IIHS The latest IIHS evaluations give its highest safety award to the redesigned Kia Telluride for 2027 and Tesla Model Y for 2026–27. The Telluride’s eligibility is limited to vehicles manufactured after June 2026, when improved headlights were fitted. The awards consider crash protection, lighting and standard crash-prevention systems; the article also reports results for five other vehicles that did not qualify.
